Outdoor Education Week is held in September each year. The Outdoor Education Program is an integral component of the total curriculum offerings, concerned with the development of the whole person as identified in the school’s Mission Statement. Participation is compulsory for all students with camp programs from Kindergarten to Year 12. Guided through a carefully planned preparation programme by a Project Week team that includes our Outdoor Education staff, students must demonstrate skills such as first aid, risk assessment, itinerary planning and budgeting before receiving approval to travel independently in small groups of 4 or 5 to a destination of their choice in Southeast Asia (such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand or Outdoor Education Programs and Schools National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Headquartered in Wyoming, NOLS is a non-profit, educational institution teaching wilderness and leadership skills, with an emphasis on conservation.
